February is the month of love, and here at the Lucy Kelts Collection, we’re celebrating all the reasons we love living and working in Rancho Santa Fe. From the amazing weather to the luxury lifestyle, there is so much here to enjoy and be grateful for. And while our list of why we love it here could stretch for miles, we’ve narrowed it down to our absolute favorites.
Small-town charm
One of the biggest reasons that we love Rancho Santa Fe so much is its small-town atmosphere. With a population of just over 3,000, Rancho Santa Fe is the kind of place where neighbors feel more like friends. And talk about charm! The city is well-known for its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, and this dedication to style makes the entire community both cohesive and beautiful.
Exclusive neighborhoods with luxury amenities
If you’re looking for luxury and exclusivity, then Rancho Santa Fe is it. You won’t find a more upscale location in Southern California – or really anywhere else for that matter. Rancho Santa Fe was one of the first planned communities in the country. And the town carries on the tradition of being a luxury trendsetter. Our neighborhoods and gated communities offer a huge variety of luxury amenities, from championship golf courses to gorgeous natural spaces that are perfect for hiking and horseback riding.
Excellent schools
Those who want a top-notch education for their kids will have peace of mind living in Rancho Santa Fe. Our schools are some of the best in the state, have superb student-to-teacher ratios, and consistently earn high rankings. In addition, there are many educational opportunities for kids around town, including camps and events hosted by the wonderful Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Exceptional weather
Can we talk for a minute about the weather? We know that people living in Southern California obsess over the weather, but there’s good reason to. We are blessed with near-perfect weather just about every day of the year! The average temperature in Rancho Santa Fe is usually somewhere between 50 – 80 degrees depending on the time of year. We rarely dip below 40 degrees and it’s unusual to have a summer scorcher. We also get on average 263 sunny days every year – perfect for golf or for hitting the beach!
Nearby world-class attractions
Finally, we would be remiss if we did not mention all the world-class attractions. Many of them are just a short drive from Rancho Santa Fe. Of course, you can’t miss visiting Disneyland, and it isn’t unusual for residents of Rancho Santa Fe to hold season passes to the park. Other nearby destinations include the San Diego Zoo, LEGOLAND California, and the pristine beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
