Rancho Santa Fe is beautiful and fun every day of the year — but it’s especially charming in the fall! Not only can you enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities at this time of year, but there are several special events happening as well. Check out some of our favorites below, and be sure to RSVP before they sell out!
Howl-O-Ween Harvest Family Days
One of the most popular events at the Helen Woodward Animal Center, the Howl-O-Ween Harvest Family Days includes hands-on animal encounters, a hay maze, mini pumpkin patch, trick-or-treat stations, and entry into the “Eerie Expedition”. Some of the animals you and your littles may encounter include alpacas, miniature horses, turtles, lizards, millipedes, or hermit crabs! This is an awesome autumn adventure that’s suitable for the whole family! Tickets are $40 for a group of four, and each extra person is $10. Family Days happen on October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and 31 from 9 am – 1 pm. The number of people attending at one time is limited to 45, so advance registration is recommended.
First Annual Lilian Rice Day
The Rancho Santa Fe Historical Society is excited to finally unveil the Lilian Rice bronze statue at the First Annual Lilian Rice Day on October 23! Rancho Santa Fe would not be what it is without the influence of Lilian Rice, and the Historical Society is sponsoring a Roaring 20s Gala at the Inn of Rancho Santa Fe to celebrate her and her legacy! This promises to be the event of the year! Contact [email protected] for more information.
2021 Breeders’ Cup
This is very exciting news — the 2021 Breeders’ Cup is happening in beautiful Del Mar! The most important international horse racing event of the year is coming to the area on November 5 and 6 for only the second time in its history. Del Mar Racetrack is one of the most scenic and historic in America, and this is your opportunity to see the excitement where the turf meets the surf! Reserved seating is available starting at $100 per seat, or choose box seating or a special dining experience to enjoy on race day!
