Whether you’ve been yearning for a yacht, coveting a family cruiser, or anxious to dive into the exciting and healthy world of paddle sports, now is the time to make that dream a reality at the San Diego International Boat Show. Head to the Sheraton Harbor Island on June 18-21 for an event featuring boats for sale, in addition to dozens of booths showcasing the newest nautical gear, gadgets and accessories. An expanded selection of superyachts 80’+ will also be on display for those seeking a life of luxury, in partnership with the U.S. and San Diego Superyacht Association.
Not in the market to buy a boat? The boat show is the perfect place to get your feet wet in the boating lifestyle with activities for all ages. Try It Cove provides free opportunities to test your skills kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding and more watersports! If you’re not ready to leave dry land, experience how a boat reacts to wind and waves aboard the Sailing Simulator while the little skippers create nautical works of art in the Kid’s Zone. And, the popular ‘Be a Diver Pool’ has returned! Climb into a wet suit, strap on some gear and jump into the world of SCUBA diving.
If you currently own a boat and love DIY-projects, don’t miss Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, where complimentary DIY clinics on boat maintenance and repair are offered hourly.
The boat show’s seminar program is loaded with educational and enlightening programs hosted by experts and adventurers who know the waters and will share practical advice, expert opinions and tales from the high seas. The schedule covers a variety of topics including Cruising to Mexico, “best practices” of sportfishing, multihull sailing and more. If you’re ready to kick your boating skills up a notch, take to the water through Discover Boating’s Hands-On Skills Training, featuring 60-minute to three-hour on-water clinics taught by professional ASA-skippers.
There are also plenty of contests and giveaways at the show, such as a chance to visit the Mexican Riviera. Unforgettable boating experiences await you on the beautiful blue waters of the Mexican Riviera. Whether you enjoy cruising, sailing, sportfishing, scuba or snorkeling, you’ll find world-class resorts and marinas that welcome boaters with authentic Mexican charm. This year, we’re pleased to welcome the Mexico Board of Tourism to the show to help you learn more about boating in Mexico.
When you are ready for a break from shopping the boat show or looking for a perfect place to catch the sunset, visit the Fiddler’s Green Tiki bar on the docks. Grab a bite to eat at the BBQ hosted by the Rotary Club La Mesa, enjoy a glass of craft beer at Anchors & Ales Beer Garden or take a snack at one of the gourmet Food Trucks.
Due to health and safety regulations, no pets, except service dogs, are permitted at the boat show. This includes small animals that can fit in a carry bag. Baby strollers are prohibited on the docks. Please plan accordingly.
