Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch: Show Mom how much you appreciate her with The Hotel Del Coronado‘s spectacular Mother’s Day champagne brunch buffet in the ocean view Ballroom or historic Crown Room on Sunday, May 10. The elegant buffet will feature a magnificent selection of culinary delights, live musical entertainment and a rose for each mom. A special children’s buffet will be available for the little ones. Cost is $115 for adults in the Crown Room, $105 in the Ballroom. Children ages 6-10 are $42, and children 5 and under eat free. Price is not including tax and gratuity. Chocolate Festival: Spend the Saturday before Mother’s Day at San Diego Botanic Garden’s famous Chocolate Festival. Enjoy dozens of delectable chocolate tastings, demonstrations, a chocolate fountain, and more. This family-friendly event also features lots of children’s activities and a variety of Mother’s Day gifts. Tasting tickets will be sold on-site.
Blossoms for Mom at the New Children’s Museum: Enjoy a relaxing mother’s day with fresh flowers and high tea time at the New Children’s Museum. During the workshops, guests can learn how to brew up a nice cup of herbal and floral tea, and design a colorful flower crown to gift for mom or grandma. The dates of workshop are May 2 and May 9, and is intended for ages 5 and up.
Girls on the Go Running Event: The Girls on the Go running event is a celebration of women of all sizes, ages and fitness levels. A stylish GOTG T-shirt and a Girlicous medal await you at the finish line. Every detail of the Girls on the Go half marathon, 10K/5K Run/Walk is planned with a woman in mind, giving mothers, daughters and girlfriends a chance to run wild during a morning of inspiration, education and entertainment. As you bolt across the finish line, you’ll enjoy lively music, receive your beautiful Finisher’s Medal then head to the post race festivities with your gals and the energy of over a thousand women celebrating their accomplishments. The Girls on the Go half marathon, 10k/5k Run-Walk is for women, men (Yes, men are welcome to run with us. Although not eligible for awards, our guys will receive a girlicious finisher’s medal), and children. A race number is required for each person on the half marathon, 10K and 5k course, including babies and children. Service dogs are welcome. The half marathon age limit is 12 by race day. Not allowed on the course: Pets, bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards.
