Rancho Santa Fe School

Back to school is here, giving me the perfect opportunity to talk about all of the wonderful schools that service the families of the Rancho Santa Fe communities.

The public schools are some of the best in the nation, which is one of the many reasons that people buy in Rancho Santa Fe.  (Even if they don’t have kids it helps with resale value.)  Many parents in our communities also choose private schools, for a myriad of different reasons, so I will try my best to cover all of the options. They are not in any particular order and if I miss one or you have questions please comment on this post and let me know. I will be posting a few schools per week……….

Rancho Santa Fe School (R. Roger Rowe School)

Located at 5927 La Granada in the heart of the Village of Rancho Santa Fe.

The school services K-8th grades with an enrollment of nearly 800 students. Class sizes are kept small (1:20 ratio) at all grade levels.

There is astounding  parent involvement. In fact the parent involvement and financial donations at most all of the schools throughout the Rancho Santa Fe communities is generally far above average. This directly affects the quality of education, specialized services and extracurricular activities the students receive. One of the unique qualities to The Ranch School is that it still feels like a small community school. Because it is located walking distance to the village they can have community events such as the annual Halloween Parade. Every year the kids and their families walk down Paseo Delicias in their costumes. All of us, residents and business people, come out to cheer them on. Where else can you find a school that can safely walk the children though the streets of downtown?

Residents of The Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe are within the Rancho Santa Fe School District along with portions of other communities such as The Bridges, Cielo, The Groves, Rancho Del Lago, Rancho La Cima, & The Summit.
