Children who live in Rancho Santa Fe have a brand new playground to enjoy. Effort from all parties, from those at the city level to members from the community center to residents of the Covenant have worked together in an effort to create a neighborhood playground. On Saturday, November 17th, at 9 a.m., these tireless workers and volunteers and their children can attend the ribbon cutting of the recently erected playground at the Rancho Santa Fe Field on Rambla de las Flores (just south of Richardson Field). Geared towards children between the ages of two and nine years of age, this new play lot made of log structures and green slides will still be one for all ages to enjoy within a short walk from many Rancho Santa Fe homes.
Thanks to the hard work of volunteer fathers from the ROC, short for Rancho Santa Fe Outdoors Club, and staff and volunteers from the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center, the new playground was built on November 3rd. After a year of proposals (first suggested by Rancho Santa Fe resident Heather Slosar), plans, discussion, surveying and debate, this ribbon cutting is a true celebratory event for parents, grandparents, care providers, residents and children who live in Rancho Santa Fe.
