Dressage Week, April 28-May 1: The highlight of Dressage Week is the Evening of Musical Freestyles, Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m. Some of the top dressage rider-horse teams in the world compete, showing the incredible and subtle communication that occurs between the rider and horse, as the team executes a variety of graceful dressage maneuvers.
Hunter/Jumper Week, May 3-8: The featured event of Hunter/Jumper Week is the $100,000 Villas at Rancho Valencia Grand Prix of Del Mar on Saturday, May 7 at 6:45 p.m. Equine athletes and their riders compete, trying to negotiate a tight course filled with a variety of jumps, within a specified time period and without any faults (a knock-down or a refused jump).
Admission is free weekdays until 4 p.m., $10-$18 grandstand weekends, box seats available. Paid parking ($9) will be in effect April 23, 29, 30 and May 7. These dates are subject to change, and additional dates may be added.
