During the month of December, there are so many wonderful events happening around town, from Christmas plays to menorah lightings. The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe Olde Fashioned Christmas
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe really knows how to get us all in the holiday spirit with their Olde Fashioned Christmas celebration. Happening on Thursday, December 6, the party includes a Soup Challenge, arts & crafts, live music, and even a bounce house for the kids. Be sure to get there in time for the tree lighting at 6 pm followed by pictures with Santa at 6:30 pm.
Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Frosty Farm
If you’re looking for some holiday fun that’s appropriate for the whole family, then head to Frosty Farm at the Helen Woodward Animal Center. The event includes encounters with many types of animals, holiday crafts, and pictures with Santa. This fun festival happens on December 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 from 9 am to 1 pm. The cost is $10.99 for children and $20.99 for adults.
Holiday events at Rancho Santa Fe Library
Leave it to the Rancho Santa Fe Library to stack the deck with holiday celebrations. First up on December 5 is the Light up the Library party. This celebration includes food, entertainment, and a hosted bar. The cost is $100 per person and all proceeds benefit the RSF Library. Next up is the Holiday Sing-Along with Alison Marae on December 10 at 10:30 am featuring original music, holiday favorites, and a Frosty the Snowman puppet. Finally, bring the kids to Mrs. Claus and Carmen the Elf Storytime on December 20 at 10:30 am.
24th Annual Holiday Tea
The Country Friends will be hosting their 24th Annual Holiday Tea on December 11 at 10:30 am. This wonderful organization raises money for local human care agencies, and this is their biggest event of the year. Join them for a two-course luncheon with a dessert buffet, sparkling wine, and the opportunity to win fabulous prizes. Tickets for the event are $85.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas at the Village Church
If you’re in the mood for some holiday theatrics, then be sure to get tickets to I’ll Be Home For Christmas at the Village Church. Happening on December 13, 14, and 15, this musical takes place between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1941 and is set against the backdrop of a family listening to music and news on the radio. General admission tickets are $20; children under 12 and students are $12.
Light the Menorah at the Chabad Jewish Center of RSF
Finally, celebrate the magic of Hanukkah with the Chabad Jewish Center of RSF. Every year they host a wonderful menorah lighting celebration. Hanukkah begins on the evening of December 22. Check their website for more information about their celebration.
