The Rancho Santa Fe School District has a unique opportunity for parents and families who live in a Rancho Santa Fe home. Dr. Jeff Owen, a licensed child psychologist and school psychologist is conducting an educational series and training for parents on child development, focusing on implementing positive discipline at home. Special emphasis will be given to creating cooperation, teaching responsibility, and developing respect as a family unit. Seminars will share resources and information but also discuss real-world scenarios and tools to integrate these skills in your Rancho Santa Fe home.
Dr. Owen will answer questions at the end of each session, as time permits, too. The first session already occurred, but parents are still invited to attend the other two. The next segment of the series, part two, will be held on April 23rd from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. and will teach you positive methods of empowering your child. On May 14th, between 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. the third session will be shared and the discussion topic will be conflict management. The Performing Arts Center, located at 5927 La Granada in Rancho Santa Fe is where each of these informative trainings will take place, making it easy to join in if you live in Rancho Santa Fe. Take the time to improve your parenting skills and bring a little more respect and encouragement into your Rancho Santa Fe home with these classes. Visit the school district website to discover more.
