Art Auction to Benefit the Alzheimer’s Association at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club

“Memories in the Making” is an unforgettable Art Auction to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The evening is a celebration of artistic expression featuring a silent auction of beautiful artworks created by individuals with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia and an exciting live auction featuring inspired pairing artworks by professional community artists.
The night’s festivities will also include delicious culinary stations, acoustic contemporary music and craft wine and beer tastings. Funds raised will support the Alzheimer’s Association programs and services as well as research for a cure.

“Memories in the Making” is a unique program offered by the Alzheimer’s Association for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia to express themselves through art. Through the creative process of painting, these individuals are able to communicate, offering us the essence of themselves. The art they produce is a tangible means of expression, which speaks to the families, the professional caregivers and to the public.
The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The San Diego/Imperial Chapter is one of 76 Alzheimer’s Association chapters in the country. Each chapter is locally governed and funded by the community it serves. The chapter provides a broad range of free programs and services specially designed to support the needs of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, their families, caregivers and the community.
The Fairbanks Ranch Country Club is a full service, private country club, providing its members with an extensive calendar of golf, tennis, fitness, social and family activities that foster enduring relationships. The award winning golf course, tennis facilities and food & wine program are enjoyed by its members in one of San Diego’s most engaging private country clubs. Every year FRCC members sponsor charity events to support and benefit worthy causes. These non-profits vary from local chapters of well-known national organizations to community fundraisers. A select number of events feature golf and tennis events. This is just one of the many ways FRCC members contribute to the community.
