And speaking of wine…

Over the past few years, wine bars have been popping up all over San Diego. Being a wine enthusiast myself, I am looking forward to visiting two in particular. The first is Splash Wine Lounge located in North Park. It has San Diego’s first Enomatic machine where patrons can sample over 72 different wines by inserting a pre-paid plastic card. The splash, or one ounce, is dispensed and viola! According to the owners it allows people to enjoy a vast variety of grapes and regions. Sounds like a fantastic idea!
The second stop on my list will be Decanter, which is located right here in Rancho Santa Fe in the Cielo Hillside Village. I cannot believe I have not yet been there. The choices are diverse and the decor looks inviting. I’ll check back later to report on my experiences.
