This year, the kids who live in Rancho Santa Fe homes don’t get to have all the fun when it comes to reading! The Rancho Santa Fe library’s summer reading program is also open to teens, grade 6 though 12, and adults. For teens, the goal is to read or listen to 600 minutes (10 hours) of books, magazines, newspapers, or graphic novels. The goal for adults is to read four books.
Adults can sign up for the reading program online here. There’s also a link for teens to sign up on that page, although you can also go to your local library to sign up. Keep track of your reading online or on a paper reading log. When you reach your goal, bring your log in to the library or make sure your online log is up to date, then collect your prize, starting July 1st.
Fill your Rancho Santa Fe home with wonderful books this summer! Explore new worlds without having to go anywhere. If you need a reason to keep reading, remember that for every extra hour of reading you do, the library will donate a pound of Hill’s Science Diet for area shelter dogs. Enjoy a wonderful summer of good books and help out animals in need near Rancho Santa Fe homes. See you at the library!
